The Department is determining whether you seek copies of disclosable public records in the Department's possession. This will require Department staff from the Office of Community Outreach and Media Relations to search for, collect, and appropriately examine a voluminous amount of separate and distinct records that are demanded in a single request. Accordingly, the Department is extending its 10-day response timeframe by an additional 14 days, as authorized by Government Code section 6253, subdivision (c).

The Department has identified Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) logs that are responsive to your request for "calls for service." The Department's criminal investigation, however, is still ongoing. To avoid endangering the successful completion of this investigation, the Department is withholding all information from these logs at this time. The Department is withholding these records on the following legal basis:

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (f)

As noted, the Department's criminal investigation is still ongoing. Therefore, the Department does not currently possess records that are responsive to your request for "incident reports" and "arrest reports."

The Department has identified records that are responsive to this request item. The Department will disclose a one-page record entitled, "Cost Analysis." This record lists the number of personnel assigned to the event and the hours expended by rank. However, the Department is withholding all CHP 415, Daily Field Records on the following legal bases:

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (c)

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (k), which incorporates Penal Code section 832.7

· Government Code section 6254, subdivision (k), which incorporates the individual's right to privacy under the California Constitution (Cal. Const., art. I, § 1) and the Information Practices Act of 1977 (Civ. Code, § 1798 et seq.)
