Pursuant to the Minnesota Data Practices Act, I hereby request the following documents:
All emails containing the words "Satan," "Satanic," "Monument," "Statue," or "Veterans," or otherwise discussing plans by The Satanic Temple to erect a monument in Belle Plaine Veterans Memorial Park, sent between February 23, 2017, and the date this request is processed. I am requesting a search for emails to/from anyone involved in such a process, including Interim City Administrator Dawn Meyer.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

The City of Belle Plaine requires the attached form be submitted for all public data requests. Once we receive the completed form, we will begin processing your request. As per the City of Belle Plaine fee schedule there may be fees charged for research and copies.

The deposit is only if you were removing documents from the City, that is not the case with your request. There may be a research fee expense and/or copy expense. I will notify you as soon as I know, and as soon as your request has been processed.

Attached please find the information you have requested. As per our phone call, the search was narrowed to communication between city staff and City Council regarding the installation or discussion regarding The Satanic Temple to erect a monument in Belle Plaine Veterans Memorial Park.
I would like to note that there were a few pages removed from the City Administrator's email (Mike Votca) due to attorney/client communications.
