Dear Mr. Anderson,

We have determined that we have over 70 reports that are coded with the offense of LSA-R.S. 14:46.2 Human Trafficking or LSA-R.S. 14:62.3 Trafficking Children for Sexual Purposes. We will need to review all cases to determine whether there is a pending investigation or related prosecution. If there is, you would only be entitled to the initial report with redactions. The supplemental reports would not be subject to release under LSA-R.S. 44:3. For those files that have been finally adjudicated, we would need to do extensive redactions of the victims' identity as required under state law. This will be a lengthy process.

To expedite your request and possibly save you money on copying costs, we could just provide you with the initial reports and if you determine that there is a specific file that you would like us to further research to determine if the supplemental reports can be released, you could submit another request for that specific file.

Please let us know if this is an acceptable response to your request and we will start pulling only the initial reports. Please let us know within 48 hours so that we can start working on your request accordingly. If we do not hear from you within this timeframe, we will only pull the initial reports and wait to hear from you with regard to the supplemental reports.

Please contact me with any questions or to discuss further at 225-389-3809.

Dear Mr. Anderson,

Since you have not responded to the below email, we are only going to pull the initial reports at this time. If you would like to receive any supplemental reports, please email us to let us know which reports you would like. We will then check to determine whether those cases are closed and that the reports would be subject to disclosure under LSA RS 44:3.

Again, please feel free to contact us at any time to clarify your request and/or further troubleshoot the issue below.
