To Whom It May Concern:

According to a report published on August 1st, "Allentown Police are set to get $1.5 million in state grants to buy technology that its developer says can triangulate gunshots and send officers toward them in about a minute": https://www.lehighvalleynews.com/allentown/allentown-police-to-buy-gunshot-location-system-license-plate-readers

Pursuant to the Pennsylvania Right to Know Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all documents, including but not limited to, applications, agreements, and reporting documents related to the grants of $1,500,000 that the Allentown Police Department described in the LehighValleyNews.com article published on August 1st, 2023. According to the article, the grants will "buy technology that its developer says can triangulate gunshots and send officers toward them in about a minute. That money also will fund the Allentown Police Department’s purchase of license-plate readers and new fingerprint technology."

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Edward Vogel
