Pursuant to the Ohio Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

An audit log of all ALPR queries to out-of-state law enforcement agencies between 1/1/2023 and 2/6/2024. This request is not seeking the plate numbers or any personally identifiable information. It is seeking the date and time for conducting a query in the specific date range cited.

A copy of agency policies regarding ALPR queries to out-of-state law enforcement agencies.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Please find the attached procedure and answer from the IT supervisor, Lt. Farrar.

Can you send this PRR request back to the requestor? Unfortunately we cannot sort through "Out of State plate searches" from regular searches. Only 1% of the time (approximately) are officers making specific queries for out of State LPR searches. In the last 30 days we completed over 7600 LPR searches and there is no way for us to sort out the 1% of those that are out of state. I had to get with the Flock admin person to inquire as well to see if he had a way to get the requested information. He also had no way of sorting those searches out.

I have attached the LPR procedure as requested. Please send this PRR back to the requestor.
