Good morning,
We have received the following request (see email below) from MuckRock
staff reporter. I do want to call attention to Wyoming State Law (35-1-426)
which prohibits the disclosure of Wyoming Vital Records and the information
contained within them. Consequently, the Wyoming Public Records Act does
not apply to Wyoming Vital Records. W.S. 35-1-426 does allow for release
information contained in the records is administers for research purposes.
Wyoming Vital Statistics Services (VSS) follows the U.S. Standard Death
Certificate Rev. 11/2003. The certificate contains a question that requires
medical certifiers to indicate of females of reproductive age whether they
were pregnant within the year up to death. Please visit
