Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Winning bid information from the Wayne County tax auction that took place in September 2019 that includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
-The property address
-The winning bidder
-The winning bid amount
-Names of other bidders and the amounts they bid
If any component of the requested information can not be provided, I kindly request the reason why it was withheld. We can accept this data in its original database or in a spreadsheet format, such as Excel or a CSV.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

The FOIA request received on 9/4/19 asked for a list of all Registered Bidders for the 2019 Wayne County Tax Auction. The FOIArequest received on 10/8/19 asks for Winning Bid Information. Please advise if I am missing a request?
Also, please send all correspondence pertaining to FOIA requests to WCTFOIA@waynecounty.com<mailto:WCTFOIA@waynecounty.com>. By sending your requests directly to the WCTFOIA email it ensures that the request will be reviewed in a timely manner if I am unavailable or out of the office.

Hi Rhonda,
Thank you, I will make sure that happens. We use a FOIA-ing service called MuckRock, and sometimes that makes it a little tricky to manually direct our requests.
Prior to the beginning of the auction, I requested the information for bidders that had registered and the amount of money— if any— that had been put down as a deposit. I believe that another reporter from my office collected those records.
More recently, we have requested the properties sold in the September auction, with the names of the winning bidders and the winning bid amounts.
I hope this clears any confusion, but please let me know if you need any other info from me.
