From:

Ms. Baird -

Pursuant to your FOIA request of 06/28/2021, which was answered previously by the Town of Waterford's Town Clerk;

After checking the aforementioned Town Clerk and Human Resources Department, the following was found. The Town of Waterford, Connecticut has employed three police chiefs since 1983, William McGuire, Murray Pendleton, and currently me, Brett Mahoney. Chiefs McGuire and Pendleton were hired without a contract with the town. The contract that I operate under is attached here.

Neither Chief McGuire nor Chief Pendleton were dismissed, they both retired in good stead with the Town of Waterford.

Should you need further information please let me know.
