Dear Mr. Nash,
Per your request, attached are documents maintained by VCU that offer "the
total number of students who 'opted out' of the Ram Attend program by
November 21, 2019." Following is additional context which may be useful to
you.
The courses included in the RAM Attend pilot are UNIV 111, UNIV 112 and
UNIV 200. A notification email was sent to 4,047 students enrolled in these
courses. The email provided information about the RAM Attend pilot program
and offered an opt-out option for students. As of the opt-out deadline, Nov
21 , 59.65% (2,414) of students eligible to participate in the pilot
opted-out of the program.
Since the opt-out form did not include restriction settings to only permit
submissions from students enrolled in UNIV 111, UNIV 112 and UNIV 200, there
were an additional 3,249 students who completed the opt-out form that were
not enrolled in a course participating in the pilot. Thank you.
Sincerely,
*Michele S. Howell*
