Thank you for your request under the California Public Records Act, received on January 15, 2023 (see your attached request).
The information you are seeking in item #1, such as case numbers or other information in our criminal history data base from which a person could be identified, is exempt from disclosure under Government Code subsections 6254(c), 6254(f), 6254(k), and 6255(a), Penal Code sections 13300-13305 and Westbrook v. County of Los Angeles (1994) 27 Cal.App.4th 157, 162-167. (See also 89 Ops.Cal.Atty.Gen 204 (2006).).
The information you are seeking in item #2 is part of our investigative file and, as such, is specifically exempted from disclosure under Government Code section 6254, subdivision (f). Further, portions of these records contain protected material, which we cannot disclose absent a legal exception.
If you have legal authority or other information to the contrary, please provide that and we will be happy to review this further.
