To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

(This tunnel system is code-named Bergkristal but this designation is not found in general searches in the archives. nor are the others).
I request all photos and materials of the Two Assembly-Line Tunnels In A Series Of 25 Underground Jet Plane Producing Tunnels In Linz, Austria. Producing Complete Fuselages, Instrument Board And Canopies and special research stations were also set up in these tunnels. (U.S. Air Force Number 94960AC) I find one photo published from the National Archives, this of course means there is an entire section of photos of every tunnel and all pieces of machinery and equipment found
I request all photos taken for this report, and the same from the nearby tunnel complex known as Kellerbau or Esche I and II all located in Gusen/Linz. I also request the reports following these findings, reports were made by the US Air-force, and the CIC and Army Intelligence and others. The site was taken by the US Army without a fight in May 1945
But 1 photo to be found in the archives confirms these exist, I hope you cane help me find them.
Thank you
SSG Struckmann

Dear Mr. Struckmann,

This is in response to your letter of 18 January 2018 requesting information
on underground jet plane producing Tunnels in Linz, Austria during World War
II.

Please note, the majority of World War II information held by the Air Force
Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) is unclassified and open to the public
and therefore no FOIA is required. AFHRA, with special permission from HAF,
does not process unclassified/public domain FOIA requests. Please see our
disclaimer on our web page FOIA section(

We have run your request as an Archival request and after searching using
the information you provided, we were able to locate two potential documents
linked to "Gusen" (02005473) and the search term: ["underground" and
Austria] (00211962). No other provided search terms yielded relevant
results. Both of the documents will be sent to you via DOD Safe as they are
too large to email. You will receive a separate email on how to download
the files.

You can also conduct your own search into our pre-1999 records by using the
unofficial website: <http://airforcehistoryindex.org/search.php>

public domain document or record you would like a copy of, you can order up
to ten records at a time by using the attached CUSTOMER CD ORDER FORM.

If you have any further questions within the public domain, please submit
them through the AFHRA organization email box (
