Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
1) The names of the 48 student loan default-management consultants who self-reported that they provided default management services to institutions of higher education as of December 2016 (per GAO report "Actions Needed to Improve Oversight of Schools’ Default Rates" issued April 2018), and the names of the schools that each provided services to.
2) The names of all default-management consultants who have reported providing default management services to higher education institutions between December 2016 and 8/24/2018, and the corresponding names of the schools that each provided services to.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
