I am requesting SSA records (anonymous and/or redacted) that combine prisoner data with disability application and approval data. This will help evaluate the relationship and economic interaction between incarceration and federal disability assistance.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you for the response. However, I do not understand that to be correct. SSA maintains individual person records on the MBR and SSID. These individual person records contain both disability application and approval data AND prisoner data. I am requesting this data simply be aggregated and anonymized. However, if you want to provide me individual anonymized records I will also accept that, as that is the form in which they exist.
