This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All documents relating to Secret Service policy regarding the handling, monitoring, safeguarding, and auditing of digital currency, including but not limited to Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Namecoin, seized by the Service during criminal investigations.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This is an appeal regarding my commercial fee status. I make FOIA requests for various reasons and in various capacities. This FOIA request is being made in my personal capacity for personal, non-commercial use. Further, I am making this request directly myself. Nobody is making this request on my behalf. I will not be selling the records received. Therefore, this request is not from or on behalf of anyone with a profit making incentive to make the request. The results of this FOIA request will be posted online for public use to raise awareness of daily activity of of government employee. There is no profit motivation in doing this. For these reasons, the appropriate fee category is "all other."
