SEC - Office of the Whistleblower - Matters Being Tracked

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I would like to obtain the current number of "matters" being tracked by the Office of the Whistleblower (OWB). In the 2018 Whistleblower report, the SEC stated:

"OWB tracks whistleblower tips that are referred to Enforcement staff for investigation. OWB currently is tracking over 900 matters in which a whistleblower’s tip has caused a Matter Under Inquiry or investigation to open, or has been forwarded to Enforcement staff for review and consideration in connection with an ongoing investigation."

I would like to obtain information on the current number of matters that OWB is tracking. And if possible a breakdown of the numbers of matters that are categorized as a Matter Under Inquiry, Open Investigation, or Consideration in Ongoing Investigation.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
