To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All data from The United States Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) Law Enforcement Management Information System (LEMIS) database from the last 10 years of all live sloth imports and exports. "Sloth" includes all subspecies of Bradypus (three–toed sloths) and Choloepus (two–toed sloths). As much data related to each import instance is appreciated, but most important is "Carrier Name Carrier used to import or export," "Importer/Exporter Business Name," "Importer/Exporter State," "Importer/Exporter Zip," "FSR Country," "Quantity," and "Units." If it is easier to send more data including more than just live Bradypus and Chloepus, which could also include scientific specimens, that is no problem so long as I am able to filter out live sloths. I would appreciate this information in a spreadsheet file, although I'm open to other file types.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Shoshana Weissmann
