Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The Chula Vista Police Department Certificate of Authorization (CoA) application for operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAV/UA/RPA) over the city of Chula Vista. Documentation should include means of compliance to the 14 CFR codes applicable to safe operation. I would like to include in this request the operational and technical review in response to the Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) by the FAA. Please include provisions or limitations that may have been imposed as part of the approval to ensure a UA can operate within the surrounding airspace and over people safely. I believe these documents contain information directly relating to the safety and privacy of the public.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
