I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you for your recent submissions requesting documents from OPR under the Freedom of Information Act. I am responding in this email concerning all submissions you made to OPR on January 2, 2014 and this morning, January 10, 2014. On January 2, 2014, OPR received the following requests from you:
Request for responsive documents to F14-00034, opened as OPR number F14-00021
Request for responsive documents to F13-00014, opened as OPR number F14-00024
Request for responsive documents to F09-00075, opened as OPR number F14-00025
Request for processing notes from F11-00096, opened as OPR number F14-00026
On January 9, 2014, we sent you a response to request F14-00026. For your information, under the FOIA, OPR has twenty days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays) to respond to your requests. Since January 1, 2014 was a holiday, OPR received these requests on January 2. Under the FOIA, it has until January 30, 2014 to respond to the requests, and additional time if the request is voluminous or requires referral or consultation with other components. We receive a large number of requests in addition to yours, and assign each request to a specific track. Your requests are still being reviewed, and will be processed as quickly as possible in the approximate order in which they are received, and according to the track to which they are assigned. E-mails requesting follow-up this soon after the request take away from our processing time. If we need clarification to process your requests, we will contact you. If you need additional information regarding the FOIA and how it is processed by Federal Agencies, please see http://www.justice.gov/oip/referenceguide.htm#time.

It is not clear what you are asking for. F14-00025 is the tracking number for the request for documents responsive to OPR FOIA request F09-00075. We responded to you by letter dated January 28, 2014 on this request. A copy of that letter is attached for your convenience. The matter was closed on February 11, 2014.

I do apologize for the confusion — our tracking system errantly indicated that the present request was F14-00025, which indeed pertained to responsive documents for FOIA F09-00075. I consider that request to be closed.
The present request, for which I have searched my records without success regarding a tracking number of any sort of acknowledgement since it was submitted last January, is for: " All processing notes for F09-00075."
Please confirm whether this request was received as submitted last year, and provide a tracking number and attending documentation if that is the case.

As per the January 28, 2014 letter that I attached in the email to you below, we combined the request for processing notes and the F09-00075 responsive documents in the same number, F14-00025. We provided you 100 pages of materials and requested fee commitment for the remainder of the documents, which we never received. We closed the matter administratively on February 11, 2014 for lack of response.
