This is a request for a Mandatory Declassification Review ("MDR") per Section 3.5 of Executive Order ("E.O.") 13526, "Classified National Security Information," 5 F.R. 707 (January 5, 2010), and is submitted to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence ("ODNI"). I hereby request the following agency records (including, but not limited to, electronic records):

1) The classified written Statement for the Record, entitled "Annual Threat Assessment," by then Director of National Intelligence John D. Negroponte to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence on January 11, 2007.

2) Note: An unclassified version of Director Negroponte's January 11, 2007, testimony is available on the DNI website at: http://www.dni.gov/files/documents/Newsroom/Testimonies/20070111_testimony.pdf

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
