Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All records concerning or mentioning Michael Ameri, an Inspector with the New York Police Department Highway Unit. To identify records and rule out duplicate names, Ameri's month and year of birth were July 1971; the first five digits of his social security number were 108-66.
Ameri is known to be deceased (see attachment); privacy interests are diminished.
Please conduct a search of the Central Records System, including but not limited to the ELSUR Records System, the Microphone Surveillance (MISUR) Indices, the Physical Surveillance (FISUR) Indices, the Technical Surveillance (TESUR) Indices, and Counterdrug Information Indices System (CIIS), for both main-file records and cross-reference records for all relevant names, individuals, agencies and companies.
If any potentially responsive records have been destroyed and/or transferred to NARA, then I request copies of the destruction or transfer slips as well as any other documentation relating to, mentioning or describing said transfer or destruction, to include but not be limited to confirmation that the Bureau has no other copies of said records.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I would like to thank the Bureau for the quick location of previously released material.
Given the 2016 date stamp on records, however, I am led to believe that there is additional material the Bureau possesses regarding NYPD Inspector Michael Ameri and request that this FOIA request not be closed.
Please note that some material may have previously withheld citing harm to what was, in 2016, still an ongoing matter (to wit: the investigations that led to the trials and dismissals of several high-ranking NYPD personnel as well as trials of public figures who had bribed them). To the best of my knowledge, these matters have all been concluded in the years 2018 and 2019.
I assert that there are no longer sufficient grounds for withholding material, and pray for an immediate release in the public interest.
