Good Morning Mr. Morisy,

We are in receipt of several (monthly) status check submitted by MuckRock regarding your request of 6 Dec. 2013 for "a copy of NSA's Flu Pandemic Plan."

Please be advised that your request will soon be placed in the first-in, first-out backlog queue along with a similarly FOIA request (Case Number 75341) that contains the documents responsive to your request. As a review of those documents is completed, we will respond to you further. We will provide this "piggyback" response via letter to you in the near future. As you may be aware, there are a significant number of cases on the backlog queue, and all cases must go through two levels of review in order to determine if the documents are able to be released. Therefore, we suggest that you check back in 8-12 months. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work through the backlog.

Dear Mr. Morisy,

This email responds to the automated status checks submitted for Case 75921. The case is still in our complex backlog queue, pending assignment to a first level review. Please be advised that each case must go through two levels of review before a release determination can be made. Given the volume of our backlog and the fluctuation of queue placement due to consults from other agencies that predate your request, it's likely that your case may not be assigned to a first level review within the next 12 months. At this time, the estimated completion date is approximately 2-3 years.

We appreciate your patience thus far.
Regards,
