Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any policies, rules, or other similar documents outlining the practices of the MWAA Police regarding the following:
• Hiring & recruitment
• Lateral hires of police
• Complaints of misconduct against MWAA employees
• Internal investigations into complaints of misconduct
• Disciplinary and appeal of discipline procedures
• Use of force policies, including use of deadly force
• Review of use of force policies
Please also include a copy of the current/most recent collective bargaining agreement(s) with any labor unions or similar bodies representing MWAA PD employees.
We are seeking this information as a news media organization on a matter of public interest concerning the conduct of government. As such, we ask for a waiver of all fees because the information requested can be considered as primarily benefiting the general public. If you do deny the fee waiver request, please do not incur fees above $100.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
