Good evening, excuse my delayed response on this inquiry as I was in and out of the office due to personal matters. As an initial matter, if there is another avenue you prefer to communicate, please let me know.
Regarding your request subject, I am checking if you would be able to provide some clarification. Is there a date range for the records, specific search topic pertaining to Julian Assange, or an Office you are seeking to be searched? Currently, your request with this Office is quite broad and I am trying to figure out if there are any specifics to help in our searching since the more offices searched and wide date range the longer it takes for this Office to complete searching and processing of a request.
Please be advised, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is decentralized in the administration of the FOIA. OIP processes FOIA/Privacy requests on behalf of itself along with the Offices of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Associate Attorney General, Legal Policy, Legislative Affairs, and Public Affairs.
