Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for James Sierawski including Form DD-214, all Fitness Report and Counseling forms NAVPERS Form 1610/2, NAVPERS form 1610/1, Enlisted performance evaluation reports NAVPERS Form 1616-1, the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), Cumulative Record of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), history of assignments NAVPERS 1070/605, Navy Training History NAVPERS form 601-4, all military decorations and all award citations, military education/training courses with dates, military service number.
Specifically request copy of history of assignments NAVPERS form 1070/605, copy of joint service commendation medal citation, meritorious service medal citations, navy commendation medal citation with redactions as determined.
Mr James Sierawski claimed to be retired navy enlisted petty officer and chief warrant officer. Awarded many decorations including meritorious service medal, Combat Action Ribbon, navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, etc . approximate navy service dates ~1977 to 2000 active duty. birth date approximately 1955 to 1960. This request is submitted to verify claim to be a navy military veteran. NPRC search unable to locate the OMPF file due to Navy personnel records for discharged service members after 12/31/1994 reside with Navy Personnel Command. Mr Sierawski was vice president with private security company Blackwater / Xe Services LLC and was formerly a Police Officer.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest . The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering.

please cancel this request. NSW tracking No. 2019-S-N-013. Servicemember discharged in 1998. The subject OMPF resides with National Personnel Records Center as the custodian for servicemembers records discharged before 1999.
