Dear Mr. Szoldra:

We have received your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request submitted to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), which is copied below. It has been assigned USSOCOM FOIA 2020-246. Please refer to this number should you have any questions concerning your request.

USSOCOM conducted searches in all areas that would reasonably or likely contain the information clearly described in your request. Two responsive documents were located, which have been previously released in response to another FOIA request. Those same documents are also being released to you in redacted format at Attachments 1 and 2. Portions of the documents are being withheld pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 552, (b)(3) 10 USC§ 130b, to protect personally identifying information regarding personnel assigned to an overseas, sensitive or routinely deployable unit and (b)(6), to protect personal information that, if disclosed, would result in a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

This information should satisfy your request; however, if you would like a formal response letter with appeal rights, please inform this office by August 14, 2020. Otherwise, we will close your request, requiring no further action from our office.

If you need any further assistance or would like to discuss any aspect of your request, please do not hesitate to contact the USSOCOM FOIA Office at foia@socom.mil<mailto:foia@socom.mil>, or our FOIA Public Liaison at osd.foialiaison@mail.mil<mailto:osd.foialiaison@mail.mil>.
