From: Michael Morisy

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

1) Any and all records concerning, regarding, or related to blocking public access to national monuments in Washington, DC due to the October 2013 federal government shutdown;

2) Any and all records detailing concerning, regarding, or related to the cancellation of planned visits by veterans' groups to the National World War II Memorial due to the October 2013 federal government shutdown.

This request is a duplicate of a request reportedly filed by Judicial Watch, as reported here:

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/10/02/exclusive-judicial-watch-files-foia-for-information-related-to-closing-of-wwii-memorial/

If that request is received and processed, I will accept a copy of all responsive documents to that request.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Michael Morisy

From: Wilson, Charis

Chris & Carol,

Here's another one that was submitted to me while I was furloughed. So it
is not considered to have been received until today. As with the similar
one I sent you earlier, I've cc'd the requester so they know who I've
routed the request to for processing. Please let me know if it turns out
we need to have staff in the WASO office search for responsive records.

Thanks,

C.
