Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Death In Custody Reporting Act report forms submitted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to DOJ-BJP. Please see the linked final response from ICE to our prior request for these forms from ICE. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/23994964-foia-appeal-adjudication-letter-2023-icap-00450-2023-icfo-26205-affirm-search
We note that ICE initially denied our FOIA request on the ground that it has no records because DCRA does not apply to the agency. On appeal, IC admits the applicability of DCRA, but claims the agency fills out the form online and doesn’t keep a copy. Accordingly, we are requesting copies from DOJ BJP.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Can you please follow up with the component to inquire why there has not been an acknowledgement from them notwithstanding your referral to them? We are now at 30 days without an individualized tracking number from the component. The statute requires DOJ to provide one within 10 working days.
