This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All the Housing and Urban Development emails that mention Ben Carson.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

In that regard, the Department issues "HUD News Briefings" everyday via email to its employees which provides updates on the latest government news. The News Briefings are hundreds of pages. Technically, those News Briefings may happen to mention Ben Carson because he is referenced in a news article or story. However, they will not be HUD internal emails between agency officials or employees, only generic news information that is being shared.
Management just wants to confirm that you want to receive substantive, relevant HUD emails that mention Ben Carson and not the generic mention of Carson in the daily HUD News Briefings.
Is that correct?

Every e-flyer publicizing an event at HUD has Ben Carson mentioned. Those alone would produce thousands of hits, not including the e-mailed HUD Happenings newsletters that mention Ben Carson. Those are just miscellaneous, regular happenings that wouldn't be of any consequence to what you would like to acquire.
