To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I would like to request the FBI to release all files related to the deceased remixer/deejay Peter Rauhofer who passed away on May7,2013 in New York, NY. As a point of reference his obituary is shown as follows:

"Pioneering DJ, producer and remixer Peter Rauhofer died today after a long battle with brain cancer, according to a note from friend and manager Angelo Russo posted on Rauhofer's Facebook page. He was 48.

The New York-via-Austria DJ is best known for his dance remixes of songs by Madonna, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and even Yoko Ono. He also started the tribal house label Star 69. In 1999, under the name Club 69, he won the Grammy for Remixer of the Year for his reworking of Cher's "Believe."

Dear Mr. Fernandes:

Thank you for contacting the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS).
Congress created OGIS to serve as the Federal Freedom of Information Act (
FOIA) Ombudsman. We assist the public and Federal agencies by helping
them resolve
their FOIA disputes, and by addressing their questions and concerns about
the FOIA process.

We assigned your assistance request the case number listed above. Please
include this number in all communications with our office regarding this
matter.

An OGIS facilitator will review your submission and determine what
assistance we can provide. An increase in demand for our services means
there may be a delay in our response. We apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause, and will address your request for assistance as soon as
possible.

If you are at the stage in the FOIA process where you are able to file an
appeal, we *strongly* encourage you to do so. By filing an appeal, you
preserve your administrative rights and give the agency a chance to review
and reconsider every part of its initial response. If we assist you in
resolving your dispute with the agency, you may withdraw your FOIA appeal
at any time.

We look forward to assisting you.

Sincerely,
The OGIS Staff

Mediation requested: Pursuant to the FBI Records retention policy for documents and grand jury records the records described are able to be sought reasonably as they are indicated as court docket numbers. Request for waiver of fees for production and search to be completed and records produced. Thank you for your assistance. We read online you recently handled something very similar to this with the FBI, and your assistance is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year!
