As you suggested I filed a request with the Department of Reclamation. They said, "Reclamation does not have a region that covers Alaska and I was unable to find any record of Lindeman, Carlson in the Department of the Interior personnel directory or the Bureau of Reclamation intranet."

You can see that response here: https://www.muckrock.com/foi/united-states-of-america-10/drone-footage-from-2017-bald-eagle-nest-survey-153457/?

If they don't have it, who has this video?

From: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

Hello, Ben-
The FWS provided a no records response and suggested you file a FOIA with the Bureau of Reclamation because the RPIC contact for this flight is kswoboda@usbr.gov<mailto:kswoboda@usbr.gov>.

I did that. You can read it in full, including the Reclamation response, here: https://www.muckrock.com/foi/united-states-of-america-10/drone-footage-from-2017-bald-eagle-nest-survey-153457/?

They're saying they don't have it.

Hello-
I am double checking to ensure that FWS has no records.

Also, it looks like you submitted a request for the same information in July 2023, reference DOI-FWS-2023-005253. Since it is for the same flight information, we will close it out as a duplicate.

Thank you,
Stacey

Hello, Ben-
After asking for some assistance from the Service’s UAS Program Manager, it was a discovered there may have been a mix up of data for UAS flight information; so it is unclear as to whether or not there were eagle surveys done in 2017 in Alaska, or who the pilots were.

Stacey
