Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Trade publications have claimed that there are several key players and vendors in the data monetization market for the oil and gas industry. (https://investoropinion.co.uk/oil-and-gas-data-monetization-market-research-report-2019-2025-halliburton-schlumberger-informatica-corporation-sap-se/) One of these key players/vendors is Drillinginfo.

Therefore, I am requesting the following records related to Drillinginfo:


- All digital and paper correspondence (such as electronic mail and paper mail) between the Federal Trade Commission and representatives from Drillinginfo from January 1, 2016 to present that mention oil and gas. Please include any attachments in responsive digital forms of correspondence.

- All complaints filed with the Federal Trade Commission related to Drillinginfo. Please limit the request to complaints filed between January 1, 2016 and the day that the request is fulfilled.

- A copy of all minutes and documents related to Federal Trade Commission cases and proceedings that involve Drillinginfo and that mention oil and gas. Such documents could include Case Documents, Merits Briefs, Refunds, Commission Decision Volumes, Letters and Statements, Petitions to Quash, Companies and People Banned From Debt Relief, Adjudicative Proceedings, and Banned Debt Collectors.

- A copy of all Merger Review documents that directly name or involve Drillinginfo.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. It will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE’s science and technology website (www.motherboard.vice.com).
