Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I would like to request all complaints related to health and safety submitted to the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed by or on behalf of tobacco farmworkers, between November 2022 and December 2023.

I am a journalist with Civil Eats, and this information will be used for an article pertaining to the health of U.S. farmworkers.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I would like to request all complaints related to health and safety submitted to the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration filed by or on behalf of tobacco farmworkers, between November 2022 and December 2023.

Please be advised that in order for DEP to process your request, NAICS code 111910 (tobacco farmworkers) will be used to identify complaints in this sector. Timeline for the complaints is November 2022 to December 2023. More information about NAICS codes is available on the Census Bureau's website: https://www.census.gov/naics/.

Please be aware that we currently have a backlog of 4 FOIA requests in queue received prior to yours. Additionally, all FOIAs are reviewed by the Office of the Solicitor prior to release.
