To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all documents or FBI files pertaining to Siegfried Fred Singer, an obituary of whom was published in The New York Times on April 11, 2020 under the headline "S. Please see attached PDF copy of that obituary, which may also be found at https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/11/climate/s-fred-singer-dead.html
Because this searches involves only one individual, my hope is that this will be a simple electronic search to conduct. If you have any questions about this request, please contact me immediately, as I am more than willing to discuss revising the request to make it easier for you to respond to it.

I am making these requests on behalf of Inside Climate News where I am employed as a journalist. The requested documents will be made available to the general public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes. If the costs associated with this request exceed $30, please notify me in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Given how narrowly this request is crafted, I hope it is something you can respond fully to by July 1. If your review is not complete by then, I would ask that you provide whatever material you have compiled by this date, and then send a more complete response once you have finished your review of the requested materials.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. I do realize that responding to requests like this requires staff time and I appreciate you taking this time to address my request. I look forward to receiving your initial response to this request within 20 business days.
Sincerely,

Phil McKenna
