To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1) A copy of the FBI's files on Sergei Tretyakov, a Russian who defected to the United States at the end of the Cold War.
2) Any documents, records or notes relating to his death and autopsy

For reference, information about Sergei Tretyakov:
Date of birth: October 5, 1956
Date of death: June 13, 2010
He defected in 2000, was debriefed by the FBI, and became a US citizen in 2007.
He died in Florida. Here is a link to a New York Times obituary:

I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am the Washington Editor of The Daily Telegraph and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity.

It would be greatly appreciated if materials could be provided on a rolling basis.
If this request is likely to produce more than 500 pages of documents, and thus take a long time to locate and respond, please let me know and I will further refine the scope.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
