You requested FBI records related to the following individuals: Robert
"Bobby" James Fischer, Regina Wender Fischer, Hans-Gerhardt Fisher, Paul
Felix Nemenyi, Peter Bjorn Nemenyi, Joan Fischer Targ, Aranka Nemeni
(Aranka Heller).
We conducted a search of all available indexes transferred to the National
Archives.
We were unable to identify any FBI case files at the National Archives
related to Robert “Bobby” James Fischer, Aranka Nemenyi (Aranka Heller),
Paul Felix Nemenyi, or Joan Fischer Tar. It is possible that records
relating to these individuals are still in the custody of the FBI. If you
have not done so already, you may wish to submit a FOIA request to the FBI
for a search of their files for records relating to your subjects.

We were unable to locate any files on Hans-Gerhart (Gerardo, Girard,
Gerard) Fischer, however, the index indicated there may be documents which
reference that name in file 100-HQ-138643, which is about the Soviet
Purchasing Commission. The file consists of 112 sections, with an estimated
24,000 pages. Based on our initial evaluation, this file is deemed
unresponsive to your request because Hans-Gerhart Fischer is not the
subject of the file. Unless we receive a response from you within ninety
(90) calendar days from the date of this letter to indicate you believe
these records are responsive, we will not include this file in your request.
We located the following files responsive to your request:
We identified Regina Fischer as the subject of the following files:
FBI File 65-HQ-45667, created between October 1942 and November 1972, and
consisting of an estimated 1400 pages.
FBI File 100-NY-102290, created between December 1950 and March 1989, and
consisting of an estimated 1000 pages.
FBI File 100-WFO-27777, created between May 1953 and August 1961, and
consisting of an estimated 100 pages.
FBI File 100-CG-27015, created between April 1953 and March 1960, and
consisting of an estimated 400 pages.
We identified Peter Bjorn Nemenyi as the subject of the following file:
FBI File 100-RH-10957, created between July 1969 and September 1969, and
consisting of an estimated 15 pages.

We were unable to locate any files on Hans-Gerhart (Gerardo, Girard,
Gerard) Fischer, however, the index indicated there may be documents which
reference that name in file 100-HQ-138643, which is about the Soviet
Purchasing Commission. The file consists of 112 sections, with an estimated
24,000 pages. Based on our initial evaluation, this file is deemed
unresponsive to your request because Hans-Gerhart Fischer is not the
