Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Department of Labor provides information on Wage and Hour Compliance Action Data in a data catalog available at this url: https://enforcedata.dol.gov/views/data_catalogs.php

Please provide the employer identification number (EIN) of subject employers in the Wage and Hour Compliance Action dataset, when an EIN is available, and data sufficient to link it to as specific action "case_id" number.

The ideal format would be a spreadsheet with the case_id numbers in one column and the EIN or multiple EINs in the second column.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This letter concerns your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request of October 14, 2022 in which you requested Wage and Hour Compliance Action dataset. Your request is assigned FOIA tracking number 2023-F-00402.

This letter is to inform you that WHD is tolling (stopping the time clock on the statutory processing time limits) your request. We are taking this action because we need clarification concerning the scope of your request. Requesting the Wage and Hour Compliance Action dataset is extremely broad and we request information that will assist us in determining what the compliance action dataset that are of interest to you consists of. We will restart the processing time clock once you have provided the requested information. I attempted to call you at the number provided (617-299-1832); however, the number is not in service. If we do not receive clarification by November 14, 2022, we will assume you no longer desire the records and we will administratively close your request with no further action.
