Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All records related to Dr. Charles J. Stahl III (born: 1930; died: March 1st, 2016 at 85) — whether as the owner, sender, recipient, CC:'ed, or simply as a mentioned party. Please conduct a search of the Central Records System, including but not limited to the Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) Indices, the Microphone Surveillance (MISUR) Indices, the Physical Surveillance (FISUR) Indices, and the Technical Surveillance (TESUR) Indices, for both main-file records and cross-reference records at FBI Headquarters, all field offices and all resident agencies. If some records may be released immediately while others require a review, I request a two-tiered release.

I am making this request as a member of the news media, and request classification as such. I have previously written for Gizmodo, Slate, The New Republic, the New York Review of Books, Inverse.com, Scienceline.org, Gawker, Chemical Engineering magazine, and elsewhere.
