All receipts, bills, invoices or other materials provided by the Department of Labor to the DOJ’s Justice Management Division (JMD) for payments related to Federal Employees’ Compensation Act (FECA) claims filed through the DEA.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Ciaramella:

I am writing on behalf of the Justice Management Division (JMD) of the
U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to acknowledge receipt of your Freedom
of Information (FOIA) request on 11/02/2015.

For your information, the Justice Management Division assigns incoming
requests to one of three tracks: simple, complex, or expedited. Each
request is then handled on a first-in, first-out basis in relation to
other requests in the same track. Simple requests usually receive a
response in approximately one month whereas complex requests

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated July 21, 2015, and received by this office on November 2, 2015. The request, which was assigned tracking number 104240, asked for receipts, bills, invoices, or other materials provided by the Department of Labor (DOL) to the Department of Justice (DOJ or Department), Justice Management Division (JMD), for payments related to Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) claims filed through the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and sent between January 1, 2005, and January 1, 2015.

The Department has determined that we can grant your request. Attached are 18 pages of responsive documents. Please be advised that the redactions are for information not pertaining to DEA, and therefore, not responsive to your request. Please also be advised that while we have made a thorough search through our records, we do not have documents responsive to all of FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007.
