Any intelligence notes, memos, briefings, or other documents produced by APHIS, or otherwise in the agency's possession, that track or document on the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) within this United States. This request seeks records produced since January 2022.

I am a reporter for the Nation and other outlets.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I process most requests on a first in first out basis. I estimate completing the processing of your request in December 2023 or January 2024. If I can process your case sooner I will.

As an update from the September 13, 2023, email, I have received approximately 200+ pages (revised from 155) from the program office that are potentially responsive to your request. I have sent some of the potentially responsive documents to business submitters or consultation with other offices. I am pending the response from some of these businesses. There may be more that will need to be reviewed by other entities.
