A copy of all contracts signed or held by the Boston Field Office of the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Our Acquisitions Office, which procures contracts for all of OIG, has been working on your request; however, they are unable to search contracts based on field office location, so we’re doing some digging to figure out how best to locate the records you’ve requested. I wondered if you could provide some additional information to help clarify your request:
1) OIG’s Boston field office includes individuals from OIG’s Office of Audits and OIG’s Office of Investigations. Is there a particular area, audits or investigations, in which you are interested or are you interested in contracts from both areas?
2) What time frame are you looking for? Note that contract records are typically destroyed 3 years after the final payment.
3) Can you be more specific about the type of contract in which you are interested?
