This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Any and all communications between Rep. Katherine Clark's office and the Department of Justice's Office of Legislative Affairs that were sent or received between January 27, 2015, and the date your office processes this request, inclusive. These communications concern a request for information by Rep. Clark for data detailing the number of investigations and prosecutions DOJ conducted for violations of 18 U.S.C. 875(c) and 18 U.S.C.communications. They are referenced in Rep. Clark's Sept. 13, 2016, letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch, which is available here: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/3108956-Signed-Letter-to-Attorney-General-Lynch.html (see the fourth full paragraph on page 2).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
