CIS Ombudsman - Julie Kirchner

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I request all electronic, email and written communications between Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman Julie Kirchner and the organization called Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and its employees and representatives. Julie Kirchner was the director of FAIR for eight years.

I also request all communications between all employees of the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman and FAIR, and records of any meetings between representatives of FAIR and the Office of the CIS Ombudsman from November 2016 to the date of this request.

Communications should include but are not limited to emails to and from email addresses ending in "@fairus.org".

I am member of the news media and I request that you categorize me as such for the purpose of fees. I am a reporter whose work has been published with McClatchy Newspapers, The Investigative Fund and Al Jazeera English. I am currently pursuing journalistic projects in the employ of outlets including The Investigative Fund, Climate Home and MuckRock. I am requesting this information for the purposes of newsgathering for MuckRock.com.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I would like the narrow the request to all electronic, email and written communications between Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman Julie Kirchner and the organization called Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) and its employees and representatives (date range: November 2016 to the date of this request). Communications should include but are not limited to emails to and from email addresses ending in "@fairus.org".

I believe this narrows the request significantly and brings it within the parameters of reasonable description. Thank you again for your time and assistance with this request.
