To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Records relating to or mentioning Christopher Furnari, Sr., also known as Christie Tick, convicted as consigliere of the Lucchese organized crime family. Furnari was reported deceased in Richmond County, NY, on May 28, 2018 (see attachment, from the Staten Island Advance).

Please conduct a search of the Central Records System, including but not limited to the ELSUR Records System, the Microphone Surveillance (MISUR) Indices, the Physical Surveillance (FISUR) Indices, and the Technical Surveillance (TESUR) Indices, for both main-file records and cross-reference records for all relevant names, individuals, agencies and companies.

If any potentially responsive records have been destroyed and/or transferred to NARA, then I request copies of the destruction or transfer slips as well as any other documentation relating to, mentioning or describing said transfer or destruction, to include but not be limited to confirmation that the Bureau has no other copies of said records.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

T. McElwee

Re: FOIPA # 1427120-000 (subj: Christopher Furnari)

To whom it may concern,

I wish to inquire about the above captioned request, submitted 1/21/2019, over 2 years ago.

I have checked my records and due to some unknown issue, I have never received an estimate of either page count or cost in this FOIA request, which I find to be unusual.

If information is available, I request it forthwith. Thank you.

re: FOIPA Request No.: 1427120-000 (Christopher Furnari)

My thanks for your response on this matter.

As there is no estimated pagecount, I respectfully decline to reduce scope. As well, I believe the subject Christopher Furnari is a figure of importance as the defendant in the historic Mafia Commission Trial that I believe it is important to capture the full extent of records.

I will, however, consent in advance to a rolling release of pages, and to the Bureau uploading the records directly to FBI Vault, with the respectful request that I be notified so that I may check.
