This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting FBI files on Charles George "Chalk" Mikulanec (1917-1987). "Chalk" held companies in Indianola, Iowa such as "Central Construction Company" and "Central Paving Company". Des Moines mob boss Lew Farrell's FBI file noted Central Construction Company was suspected in racketeering activity.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

To whom it may concern:
I provided an image of Charles' gravestone, his self employment through Central Construction Company of Indianola IA, his city of residence, and mentions of his company in Lew Farrell's FBI file. What other information does the FBI need?
Farrell's file was earmarked as part of the JFK records act so some responsive records may have been already processed under congressional order.
All responsive records are being published free to the public on Muckrock. I take issue with the characterization that Muckrock is not a bonafide publisher of historical government records. Hosting costs are coming out of my research budget.
