CFPB: Surveillance video policy

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

This is a request for any emails, memorandum, written documents or any other material regarding the FOIA process and public access to surveillance video tapes from the lobby of the CFPB's headquarters in Washington D.C.

I recently read through the 2013 FOIA log for the CFPB, and I noticed a request related to CFPB surveillance video for one particular day (specifically for a particular time period of one day) during 2013.

Considering that the CFPB is a newly created consumer watchdog agency, the access to surveillance video from the lobby of the CFPB could possibly be a deterrent for those seeking to conduct business with this newly created agency.

Therefore, I am requesting a search for any guidelines or documents related to whether the CFPB has any specific instructions for the release of surveillance video from the lobby of their building. Such instructions could be either guidance given to employees, or to the handling of FOIA requests related to video surveillance tapes from inside of the building.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
