Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all communications sent or received by Benjamin Cassidy on any self-deleting or encrypted cellphone applications, including Signal, Confide, Telegram or WhatsApp. This request also seeks a screenshot of all applications on Mr. Cassidy's phone. This request only seeks records sent or received by Mr. Cassidy in his capacity as a government official. This request seeks records since June 1, 2019.
I am a reporter for The Guardian and Pacific Standard.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
