Dear Mr. Tobias,
We hope this email finds you well and enjoying your day.
We are contacting you to inform you of the status of your FOIA request 60630.
As we have been reviewing the records responsive to your request, we have identified some information that is exempt from disclosure under FOIA. This includes personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and so on. We will redact this information using the term "Personal Information" within the documents.
According to HHS and NIH policy, this type of confidential information cannot be released under FOIA without your consent. If you do not agree to omit this information, we will have to send the records to the NIH FOIA Office for their final decision, which will result in a partial denial and a longer processing time. However, if there are any parts of the records that do not contain this information, we will separate them and send them to you as soon as possible.
Therefore, we kindly ask you to let us know if you agree to omit the personal information from the records. If you do, we will be able to send you the records shortly. If you do not, we will still send you a partial response as soon as possible and forward the remaining records to the NIH FOIA Office for their review.
Please reply to this email at your earliest convenience and confirm your agreement or disagreement with the proposed omissions.

Very Respectfully,

Tony Livingston
