This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

The distinct types of identifying characteristics or biometrics in use by the department for any purpose. This is to include fingerprints, gait/walk biometrics, spoken voice biometrics, retinal vascular scan biometrics, iris imaging biometrics, hand or other vascular scan biometrics, each of which is a distinct identifying biometric as per this request. Please include additional biometric or identifying characteristics identified or used by the department, beyond those listed above. Identifying aspects used internally as well as those used on the public at borders or inspection sites are all in scope of this request. Please include processing notes, even if request is denied in part. Thank you!

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM, DVD-R, or BD-R if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
