From:

Good morning Ms. Komatsoulis,

This is in response to your email regarding the status of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request 18-F-1512.

It is our policy that each request receives prompt attention, and every effort is made to treat all requesters equally. As previously noted, our backlog of open requests at the time case 18-F-1512 was received in our office was over 2,658. We are continuing to process this request and will provide all releasable records, if any, once processing is completed. As soon as that occurs, we will provide a formal response to your request.

Also, as previously explained, there were unusual circumstances which prevented us from responding to your request in a timelier manner. These unusual circumstances are described as follows: (a) the need to search for and collect records from a facility geographically separated from this Office; (b) the potential volume of records responsive to your request; and (c) the need for consultation with one or more other agencies or DoD components having a substantial interest in either the determination or the subject matter of the records.

Even as the aforementioned factors have had an impact on the processing of your request, our Estimated Completion Date (ECD) for processing FOIA case 18-F-1512 is approximately March 30, 2019. Please keep in mind that this is only an estimate, and there are many factors that could affect delivery by this date.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter. If you have any further questions about the status of this request, please contact me.
Thanks,

Nusheen
