Good Morning Mr. Applebaum,

I am reaching out again regarding your open FOIA case. I have been in touch with the site office involved with fulfilling your request and they would like to know if you are at all willing to narrow the scope of this request. Considering the age of the aircraft involved with your request, the search and duplication involved will be exhaustive with the sheer amount of paperwork involved and will also exceed the $25 in fees you are willing to pay. If you are willing to narrow the scope to the second portion mentioned in your request, the site office has advised they should be able to fulfill that in a much timelier manner. They also advised the manuals involved with the aircraft are available in the public domain. Please advise on how you would like to proceed with this request. If you would like to discuss this via phone or have any questions please let me know. Thanks!

Hello,

I'm happy to call your office, especially if there is a time and date that would work well for you. Thursday, for example at 11am EST? Otherwise, would anytime this week work for you or perhaps next week?

I'm willing to narrow the request and I'm not too concerned about copies of manuals, though I'd need to know exactly which equipment is in use to make a determination.

Sincerely,
Jacob Appelbaum

From: Department of Energy

Good Morning Mr. Applebaum,

Thank you so much for responding to my email. I am unfortunately not working in the office at the moment and only have a personal cell phone (which we are not authorized to give out). I am definitely available to chat really anytime this week or next, but would have to call you. I super appreciate your flexibility with this request, and hope we can get you the info you need in a timely manner. Let me know if you would like to go ahead with Thursday at 11am EST and if so, what number I can call you at and we can get that scheduled. Thanks again for your response and for your time.
